Production Work
My production line grew out of the necessity to, as a working artist, develop a series of work that was faster to produce, more accessible to purchase, and felt more relevant to the audience I was reaching. This line allows me, financially, to continue making the slower handbuilt pieces while still growing my small business.
This work is primarily influenced by a love of western landscape and wildflowers. I pay close attention to brushstroke, line, and color in developing my designs, layering several different techniques to bring colorful visual interest to the crisp forms. My wares are clean and functional in their precision and shape, with attention given to detail and function in conjunction with the surface design. Porcelain lends itself as a clean canvas to showcase my designs, and each piece is sealed with a food, dishwasher, and microwave-safe clear glaze.
